YPG Receives Third Batch of US Weapons: Source


ERBIL — The US has despatched the third cargo of weapons and armoured autos to the Syrian Kurdish Folks’s Safety Items (YPG) as a part of the efforts to assist native fighters within the warfare in opposition to Islamic State (IS).

A YPG consultant, on situation of anonymity, spoke to Sputnik’s Turkish service, confirming the report and revealing that the cargo had arrived earlier on Wednesday.

“Among the many weapons obtained, there are missiles with thermal steering, which can be utilized in opposition to enemy tanks. On this batch there have been no tanks as a result of the US had already despatched them earlier,” the supply stated.

In keeping with the official, the arms and navy gear crossed into the Syrian Kurdistan through Kurdistan Area.
